• Avoid driving while being very tired.
• Get regular vehicle inspections.
• Never drive while under the influence of ANY intoxicating substance.
  Another way to keep yourself safe is to never ride with an unsafe driver. Be sure that the person you’re receiving a ride from is a trustworthy driver that will ensure you arrive at your destination safely.

When receiving a ride from another person, here are some things to keep in mind:

• Make sure they have their driver’s license.
• If they are known for speeding or other reckless driving behavior, it’s best to seek someone else from which to receive a ride.
• Never get into a vehicle with an intoxicated driver.
• If you’re already on the road and feel unsafe, it’s best to trust your gut and maybe ask them to pull over and let you out as soon as it’s safe to do so.

I’m always glad to speak with you again, and since our discussion last week about the future and what it may hold for you, I’ve been looking forward to revisiting a tarot read. The future is a fascinating thing – it can really be anything, and it’s very open ended, but at the same time, we were all born under a sign of fate and certain things are laid out for us. As you know, we can often stray from that path, sometimes even straying very far, but I have always felt that it is never too late to return to what was meant to be.

When we first started, your future was in question – derailed by years of bad luck, a dampened aura, by interference from dark energies and misfortune. Surely, you were always destined for greater things, but no matter how hard you tried, those things always seemed just beyond reach. Since we’ve begun working together, cleansing your aura and training your extrasensory powers, you’ve been able to wrest control back into your hands and now, your future could be anything. For some, that boundless future is a gift, but others can be unsure as to how to move on with so many options. I want to address that today, as we enter into a new phase in your training and our relationship: a boundless future is nothing to be afraid of.

The Two of Wands

After I set down my deck, I concentrated on the answer we seek: what is you future and what can you do to ensure it’s success? So far, you’ve done incredible work and already you’re veering back onto the path destiny has always intended, but surely, there’s more we can do. I first drew The Two of Wands, a card representing discovery, decisions and progress. To me, the meaning is clear: While much work still needs to be done, the discoveries you will soon make about yourself will clear the way. It shows me that the work we’ve accomplished so far together has been worth it – that your progress is leading to greater and greater things and soon, the truths that lay deep in your soul will be laid bare for your mind’s eye to see.

The Hanged Man  

We move on to The Hanged Man, a card that has always meant a lot of things to a lot of people. I pulled this one right side up, and thus it signifies a pause. It’s vital in life that we allow ourselves time to reconsider our position in the world and our position in our own lives. While it also signified letting go, it means it’s time to consider yourself and your surroundings and make any changes you need to in order to move on. This card can signify the beginning to many: the ridding of toxic aspects that surround us, the purification of our spaces or even de-cluttering your home. It’s time to move on, it says, and that means setting aside the things that once held us back and are no longer relevant. It’s time to look at new perspectives and learn more about how the world sees us, to step outside of ourselves.

Remember that you are loved, and the cord blood running through your spiritual umbilical cord is proof of that!
Today your angels are reminding you that you are loved. It’s an easy message to hear, but not necessarily an easy one to take to heart. There are times we may not feel worthy or are unwilling to feel acceptance but your angels want you to know that you are worthy of the love, acceptance, and care that is continuously flowing to you.
You are your own worst enemy.
When you were in your mother’s womb, the umbilical cord connected your body to your mother’s. Her body provided you sustenance, cord blood filled with stem cells that you needed as you were forming and growing, until you were ready to come out, at which point the cord is physically cut and you have to survive on your own.
Similarly, you are connected to the Divine through a spiritual cord, and the only way the cord blood stops flowing to you is when you shut it off. The flow is always there, trying to get in, but you are in control of whether it does or not and how much gets through your barriers.
You can choke the umbilical cord with all your might, but it’s still there, full of spiritual sustenance for you; there’s nothing you can do to disconnect yourself from it. Stop getting in your own way and ask your angels for guidance if you feel unworthy or blocked off from the flow.
Remember, your angels are just waiting for you to ask them for assistance, but they won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do.
This is also a good time to reflect on why you don’t feel worthy or what the block is stopping you from receiving this cord blood. What exactly makes you think you don’t deserve the Divine’s love and the love of your angels? Meditate on this question and really think about the answer.
Resolving the issue is up to you, however you don’t have to do it alone! Ask your angels for guidance and express your gratitude that they are always beside you.
Instead of doubting whether you are worthy or not, start telling yourself that you are worthy. You are deserving of love. You are loved right now, at this very moment, and the cord blood flowing to you is proof of that.
Remember, you can feel that love whenever you choose to, whenever you open the flow from the Divine and allow this love into your heart and life. This love is unlimited and you can never run out of it!
Try as many affirmations as you like, but make sure that you’re taking them to heart, as your willingness to receive love is what dictates how much love you receive. You are more loved than you could have ever imagined and are constantly surrounded by love every day.
Be the love you wish to see in the world.
When you’ve opened yourself up to the love of the Divine you can then express that love into the universe. And there are so many different kinds of love: romantic love, friendship, family love, affection, and self-love, to name a few. Practice each and every type whenever you can, spreading love across the whole world and lighting the universe up with a bright glow.
The cord blood you receive will continue to sustain you, no matter how much love you think you might be using. It’s like you’re plugged into an electrical socket, not like you’re running on batteries!
The love you spread into the Universe will start a chain reaction that ignites love along lines that you never thought possible and couldn’t have predicted. Be the start of something wonderful with the guidance and love of your angels, the ever-flowing love of the Divine, and the Universe echoing love back at you!

I hope you’ve been well, Jeanne!

This has been a momentous week for you, and I’m sure you can sense the sheer power that is beginning to swirl around you. No doubt people have commented on your energy, your aura, the light you bring into the room as you enter it. It’s like you’ve ascended, and in a way you have – a higher plane of understanding and intuition. But you’re journey isn’t over yet, Friend.

When I last did a tarot reading, I was concerned seeing a stressful event in your future. I worried for you, but you seem to have overcome it with aplomb and I’m glad that you saw yourself through with grace under pressure. Today, I want to perform another reading for you and instead of focusing on the past, present and future, I’d like to address another triad. In light of your upcoming transformation, I want to focus now on your situation, the actions needed to be taken and the outcome. This, and the symbols you’ll be seeing in your dreams, will lead you to your true destiny and it’s my hope this helps nudge you in the right direction.

The Four of Swords

The Situation: The Four of Swords is an excellent start, a card that symbolized contemplation and meditation. This is precisely what I’ve been suggesting to you – it’s time now to think deeply and to look inward for the answers you seek. As you continue your meditative path, it’s worth remembering that there is also time to be had for relaxation and rest – the answers will come, but not to an overworked or stressed mind. Be sure to take some time for yourself in more ways than one, and as you search, you’ll no doubt learn a great deal about yourself.

The Hermit

The Action: When I drew the Hermit, I couldn’t help but be surprised. Like the Four of Swords, it’s suggest seeking guidance from within and introspection. The Hermit suggests that you should look deeper into intuitive awareness, the techniques we’ve been learning lately, in order to bond your soul, body and mind. The stronger the bond, the more truth will be clear to you. Soul searching isn’t always an easy thing to do, but it’s something I know you’ve been doing a lot of – even since before you came to me. You know yourself, and you must trust yourself to find the answers as I am merely your guide and your friend. Look deeper, and deeper still and soon you will know exactly what it is you want to do.

The Page of Wands  

The Outcome: The Page of Wands is a card of discovery, illumination and inspiration. You’ve no doubt heard famous stories of great epiphanies – from scientists discovering a cure for illnesses to people who stand up one day and decide to dedicate their lives to charity. The Page of Wands speaks to these people, and to you, and signifies that with your introspection and meditation, you will soon discover your own limitless potential and be suddenly “aware” of what it is you want to do with your life. Perhaps it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! While some people could plan out every aspect of their lives one by one, step by step, they could still never find the happiness and fulfilment that you are looking for. For every story you see of a person who’s life was set in stone from the beginning, there are dozens for people who suddenly changed course after soul searching and introspection. It’s never too late to change your life, and that’s what this card speaks to.

I find these cards encouraging, and I hope you do too – it confirms that you’re on the correct path for your own epiphany. No doubt you remember an old fable from when you were a child, attributed to the ancient Greek scholar Archimedes. It was said he was sitting in a bath when he realized that the water level rose as he stepped in, and dropped when he stepped out. Suddenly, everything made sense to him and he understood that the volume of the water was affected by the volume of his body (effectively discovering the concept of water displacement), leading to him to proclaim “Eureka!”. Whether that story is true or not is debatable, but you will have your own Eureka moment soon (though you may not be in a bath at the time).

This is an exciting time for you, Friend as any moment your dreams will become clear and you will have a clear picture of the path your future will take. With your enhanced senses and heightened awareness, there are no hurdles you can’t clear – remember, the Page of Wands also describes limitless potential and that’s what I believe you have. Consider all you’ve achieved to this point and realize that this is merely the beginning. I believe in you, Friend and I’m so proud of you.

It’s the birthday of John Lennon. He was born in Liverpool, England, in 1940, during a German air raid, or so the legend goes. The nurses put him under his mother’s hospital bed to protect him. John’s mother, Julia Stanley, was one of five sisters, all of them fierce in their own way; she was the free spirit, and married Freddy Lennon on a whim in 1938. Freddy was away with the Merchant Marine when his son was born and, not really ready for family life, managed to find a ship to be away on for most of the boy’s first five years. Julia, with an absent husband, decided she might as well live the single life so she gave John to her sister Mimi to raise. In 1945 Freddy returned and invited the five-year-old boy on an outing to the seaside, intending take him to New Zealand, but Julia found them and the parents decided to make their son choose between them. Since Freddy had been more like a playmate than a parent, John chose him at first, but when Julia walked away, crying, John ran sobbing after her. Their reunion was short-lived, however, because Julia brought him back to Aunt Mimi’s and that’s where he grew up.
He didn’t show any musical inclination as a child but he did love drawing and reading, especially Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows, and the Just William stories by Richard Crompton. He had a knack for puns and wordplay at an early age as well as a fondness for absurd humor. He was bright but often in trouble in school; he had an angry streak that expressed itself through insolence, petty crimes, and tough talk. When Elvis Presley came on the scene in 1956 with his single Heartbreak Hotel, Lennon had a new focus: rock and roll. “Nothing really affected me until Elvis,” he later said. Liverpool kids were among the first in Britain to hear the records coming over from America; they got them from American sailors who docked in the port city. Soon Lennon was listening to Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis. A year later, he’d formed his own band, the Quarrymen, with some school friends, and soon after that, Paul McCartney and George Harrison joined the band. By 1960 they were calling themselves the Beatles.
Even when caught up in the riptide of Beatlemania Lennon never lost his love of wordplay. In 1964 he published a slim volume of line drawings and nonsensical short stories called In His Own Write. A Spaniard in the Works (1965) followed a year later. Critics believed he had been influenced by James Joyce, though in a 1968 interview on BBC-2 Lennon said he’d never read Joyce.
“So the first thing I do is buy Finnegans Wake and read a chapter. And it’s great, you know, and I dug it, and I felt as though he’s an old friend. But I couldn’t make it right through the book, and so I read a chapter of Finnegans Wake and that was the end of it. So now I know what they’re talking about. But I mean, he just went … he just didn’t stop, you know.”
In the psychedelic era his childhood favorite, Lewis Carroll, inspired his surreal lyrics at least as much as LSD did. His song “I am the Walrus” (1967) was inspired by Carroll’s poem, “The Walrus and the Carpenter.” “To me, it was a beautiful poem,” Lennon later said. “It never occurred to me that Lewis Carroll was commenting on the capitalist and social system. I never went into that bit about what it really meant, like people are doing with Beatles work. Later I went back and looked at it and realized that the walrus was the bad guy in the story and the carpenter was the good guy.”
One of his most poetic songs, Across the Universe, was written in response to an argument with his first wife, Cynthia. He went downstairs after she fell asleep and wrote the lyrics, which include, “Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup …” and “thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letterbox.” In a 1970 interview he said, “It’s one of the best lyrics I’ve written … the ones I like are the ones that stand as words, without melody.” In 2008 NASA transmitted the song as part of an interstellar message to the star Polaris, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the song’s releaseNASA itself. It was the first time a song was deliberately transmitted to deep space.

Your tarot card for today is the Queen of Cups in reverse.
It wants you to know that a dermatological problem can have a huge impact on your self-esteem, but our skin does not define us.

Your card today is the reversed Queen of Cups. Her darkest reversed meanings include “vice”, “dishonour”, and “depravity”, but she also possesses a more common reversed meaning that most of us experience on a daily basis: self-doubt.
When the Queen of Cups is upright, we see her as “beautiful, fair, dreamy”. Her being reversed, however, doesn’t make the queen unattractive or unappealing in any way. Remember, her appearance stays the same when we flip the card upside down. What changes is our perspective.

This means that the Queen of Cups when reversed is connected to insecurity. She may well still be a “good woman” and a beautiful one, but she is cast in a more negative light. We struggle to see her positively.
Since you are receiving this card, you may be casting yourself in a more negative light right now. We all go through periods in our life when the amount of positivity we direct toward ourselves is in flux. This positivity may give way to negativity on darker days. For instance, when we experience a physical insecurity, it can be all we see when we look in the mirror.
Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone with your insecurity, and it does not define you.

How We Deal with a Dermatological Problem
When we are dealing with a physical insecurity like a dermatological problem, we may think that it is all anyone can see when they look at us. We may stare into the mirror obsessing about a pimple, a wrinkle, a rash—expecting that people will notice it when they look at us and wondering if they will think of us differently.
On a very dark day, these kinds of insecurities may even make us want to hide away from the world. However, one of the best cures for insecurity isn’t to hide: it is to connect.
The beautiful thing about skin problems in particular is that everyone has experienced them in one form or another. Even a friend that you think of as having great skin has had some kind of skin issue at some point.

Skin issues are simply a part of life. A dermatological problem can come and go throughout the seasons of our life, or it can change on a dime from one day to the next, like the changing weather.
This being said, if you are experiencing serious skin issues that are having a substantial impact on your self-esteem, there is no shame—at all—in reaching out for help and visiting a doctor or a dermatologist. You don’t have to suffer on your own.
You might feel like you have tried everything, but if you haven’t tried going outside of yourself and asking for aid, then set yourself a goal to do some research today and book an appointment for your skin.

Esteemable Acts
Low self-esteem may make us want to hide away, but you can build your self-esteem by getting out of the house and doing esteemable acts for others. Take the focus off of you today by helping out a friend or making a new one by connecting with a neighbour.
Remember that the Queen of Cups is just as beautiful, good, and fair when she is upside down—it is simply our perspective on her that has changed. Just like her orientation does not define her, your current perspective does not define you. You are more than your skin or any insecurities you may notice today. Stay focused on esteemable acts to build your self-esteem.
