A Podiatry Fairy-tale

by Adam Possner

This little piggy went to market,

this little piggy stayed home,

and this little piggy, well, he’s sick

poor guy, got a case of the

fungus-BigBad Trichophyton

blew hyphae under his nail,

turned it to porridge,

ragged like a witch’s tooth

or hunchbacked troll,

horrid as an unkissed toad.

Probably caught it from someone’s slipper.

The crystal ball of randomized, controlled,

double-blind trials shows half of such nails

will magically change from ugly duckling

to sleeping beauty by the stroke of twelve

weeks of Lamisil taken orally.

It’s no genie in a bottle,

no knight in shining armor

,just your best chance for

a happy ending.

Your Silver Lining Horoscope October 2021

Prepared for: Jeanne

Jeanne, find out what your aquarius Horoscope holds in store for you this month. May the Spiritual Forces lead you to a better future.

Planets come to an agreement this month so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. This auspicious period is bound to be filled with pleasant surprises from your friends and relatives. Things will go well on the romantic side, perhaps too well, so you might start getting suspicious whether your feelings are real. It is best to follow your heart in everything you do this month because it is the only one who knows the right answer. No matter how much life will put your emotions to test, be sure to practice self-control and sympathy in your interactions with others.

Social life: There is no need to put up a tough front when you are not feeling well. It is understandable that you do not want to place a burden on people close to you, but Mercury’s positive influence this month will put everyone in a favorable disposition toward you. That is why you should not stay away from those offering their help and support in a difficult situation. Know that there are no negative presences near you this month, so it will be beneficial to rely on others.

Personal situation: This is a favorable month for your spiritual development. Although you are already expressing interest in various spiritual practices and traditions, now can be a good opportunity to brush up on your knowledge. Keep in mind that not everything available on the internet is useful for achieving your goals, and you really need to sort through the information before finding something you can trust. Mercury will be there to help the natives of your sign with sifting through the abundance of sources and finding those that complement your spiritual development and help you achieve your true purpose in life.

Days of peak positive energy: 5, 12, 24
Days that might be a source of concern: 10, 18, 27

Your Arcanum for the month:
The large and bright Sun arcanum lights your path this month. Being a symbol of abundance, this card represents well your journey during this positive period. Showing the world your warm and gentle energies will get you through even the toughest times, while your positive disposition will attract others easily. Use this time to share your radiance with others and do not forget to practice gratitude for every moment. When you are going through a difficult time, remember that things will get better very soon.

contentment, security and victory are yours, at last…

Nine of Cups
According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, The Nine of Cups as the following:
A goodly personage has feasted to his heart’s content, and abundant refreshment of wine is on the arched counter behind him, seeming to indicate that the future is also assured. The picture offers the material side only, but there are other aspects.
Divinatory Meanings: Concord, contentment, physical bien-être; also victory, success, advantage; satisfaction for the Querent or person for whom the consultation is made.
Reversed: Truth, loyalty, liberty; but the readings vary and include mistakes, imperfections, etc.
The Nine of Cups shows us a very satisfied-looking man. Dapper in his red hat, he sits in front of nine cups with his arms crossed. His facial expression tells us that he is pleased, but his body language also makes it clear that he feels that the amount of liquid or food he just consumed was completely well-founded.
We often think of wine when it comes to cups on tarot cards, but wine represents something greater than an alcoholic beverage. Think of the liquid in the cups that this man consumed as representative of matter that can fuel him. It doesn’t only give him “contentment”, it also enables his “physical bien-être”. If it helps his physical well-being, it is likely that it is not literally wine.
So, what has he consumed? What has brought him this satisfaction?
Going Back to the Basics: Food, Water, Shelter
If the man on the Nine of Cups is satisfied and healthy, then it sounds like he has checked all of the boxes of his needs as a human. Consider today if you are doing the same.
For the fortunate of us, daily life is not a struggle to survive. It may have been thousands of years since all we had to worry about was making sure our basic needs were met and that we had food in our bellies, a water source, and a roof over our heads.
Of course, this doesn’t mean we don’t have anything to worry about now. On the contrary—it is human nature to take that worry and transpose it to the next possible thing to worry about.
If we know that we will be able to afford rent this month, are we then taking that stress and applying it to the question of how much we will be able to spend buying presents over the holiday season?

If we know we can afford the groceries that are in our shopping cart currently, does this mean we are stressing about if this food is what we are supposed to be eating, or if this food will help us gain or lose weight?
We don’t have to worry about an apex predator making us their lunch, so we are probably anxious about that job interview coming up. The interviewer might as well be a lion seeing us as food for all our nerves about it.
In modern life, these secondary worries can take such precedence that we forget that there are primary ones to concern ourselves with.
Making Sure Your Cups Are Full
Today, carve out some time to sit down and reflect on your current physical well-being. Ask yourself if you are drinking enough water, eating balanced meals of food that nourishes you, getting the sleep that your body needs each night. You shouldn’t need to do much research to reflect on these things. Instead of asking the internet about what the right answers are, try asking your body.
As you go about your week, make mental notes about how you are feeling. Did you enjoy your food today? Did you have three square meals today and an abundance of energy? Did you miss out on your perfect number of sleeping hours, which made the afternoon slump an extra challenge?
Think of the cups behind the man on the Nine of Cups as vessels with which you can fuel your day. You can do your best to fill them properly, making sure your basic needs are met, or you can neglect them, which will make it hard for you to nourish yourself when you need to the most. Remember his satisfied look. Aim for achieving that feeling this week.

And Archangel Michael shall go before you…

archangelmichael

Dear members and friends of our parish family:

Today, September 29th, is the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels, also known as Michaelmas, which marks one of the Church’s quarter days of the year. It marks a turning of the season, which we can feel in the weather, and a time of transition—do you sense this movement within you? Do you sense the angels around you?

Angels are everywhere—in our dreams, sacred texts, our imaginations, everyday lives, and in our worship and praise of God—and they are countless, thousands upon thousands, ten thousand times ten thousand. Angels and their activity fill the pages of the Bible from its beginning to its end; the Book of Genesis unfolds with angels already on the stage, in angelic guard at the gate of Eden, and the Book of Revelation comes to a close with the angelic host in perpetual prayer at the heavenly throne. In between we read of angels with Jacob at Beersheba and Bethel, with Nathaniel under the fig tree, with a young girl named Mary, and with her son Jesus, in the wilderness, at his tomb, and resurrection.

Angels and us humans are not unlike, in that we are creatures created by God to be his messengers —as the word angel means—of God’s mercy and promise. Humans and angels are given agency and tasked with multifarious missions—even angels sometimes have too much to do! Angels have a will, as we do, and they feel as we do; indeed, angels love, most especially God. But like us, angels also fall and turn away from God; Lucifer, the Light-Bearer and Morning Star, one of the most beautiful and exalted of all of God’s angels, fell from grace to become known as Satan or the Devil.

As unique beings of God, we are also different. Angels neither mature nor die as humans do but are immortal, by grace. We are incarnate, with physical bodies, while angels are discarnate or without physical and bodily form, though to our benefit and aid, they sometimes appear to us in human form, particularly our guardian angels. Of angels and their presence, I especially love this line from poet Elisabeth Barrett Browning, “Listen, through man’s ignorances. Listen, through God’s mysteries, listen down the heart of things—ye shall hear our mystic wings murmurous with loving.

Archangel Michael whose name means “who is like God?” is revered in all three monotheistic faiths. In Islamic tradition, Michael was sent specifically to comfort Eve when she and Adam were expelled from Paradise, and assisted Muhammad in fulfilling his spiritual mission. To this day Archangel Michael is a guide to the Islamic people. In the Jewish tradition, Michael was a teacher of Moses, and is the special guardian angel of Israel, the prince of Israel, and advocate of the Jewish people.

In Christianity, St. Michael is the great defender of the truth and of the Church, a warrior angel and commander of the army of God that battles Satan and Satan’s angels. Often pictured with sword raised and foot pressed upon a fallen dragon, the vanquished Adversary, Michael is also the weigher of souls at the time of death.

I’ll end with an invocation to St. Michael:

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust down to hell Satan and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Faithfully,
Mother Kathleen

Reacting to the Reactor… outgrowing its power

138977022_3583931678351833_656286933036741985_n

from the The Writer’s Almanac

Today is the birthday of the Italian-born American physicist Enrico Fermi (books by this author)  born in Rome (1901). He grew up close to his older brother, Giulio, the two spending their time dismantling small machines and engines together. Fermi was a professor of theoretical physics by 26 and began a series of experiments bombarding various elements with neutrons. Though unaware that a strange phenomenon he created in the lab was the splitting of the atom, Fermi was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work in 1938. The night before he was notified by the committee, Nazis in Germany began to openly attack Jewish citizens. Anti-Semitic laws had recently been passed in Mussolini’s Italy and Fermi feared for his Jewish wife and family. He used the occasion of the prize to escape Italy and took a job at Columbia University. Later that year it was leaked that German scientists had succeeded in performing nuclear fission and the scientific community quickly went abuzz with the possible consequences of this breakthrough. Fermi’s colleague Leó Szilárd drafted a letter warning President Roosevelt of the possibility it could be weaponized and urged research at home. Federal funding was granted and Fermi was asked to join the new Manhattan Project in Chicago. It was here that he and Szilárd successfully constructed the first nuclear furnace on American soil in a squash court under the football stadium of the University of Chicago.
Fermi is considered to have begun the “atomic age” when on December 2, 1942, he created the first controlled self-sustaining nuclear reaction. He would later conduct research at Los Alamos and personally witness the Trinity test of the first nuclear bomb. He supported the use of nuclear weapons during World War II but later expressed concern over the more powerful hydrogen bombs saying, “Such a weapon goes far beyond any military objective and enters the range of great natural catastrophes. […] It is necessarily an evil thing considered in any light.”
He was known by colleagues for his modesty and ability to think both theoretically and practically. He disliked complicated theories and his method of approximation when there is no obvious data is now called the “Fermi method.” He died at the age of 53 from stomach cancer, along with two assistants that worked with him on the first nuclear reactor.

Three Cards I drew for you to offer a higher level interpretation affecting a larger portion of your life…

isha_202109_MIL174_ZP_carte_justice

  1. The first card represents Justice. This may seem like a strange card to draw first, but it immediately made me think of all the times when you felt like your true worth wasn’t being recognized.
There is definitely a sense of imbalance in your life, a sense that you aren’t being judged and treated fairly. This often makes you feel like you are facing an unsurmountable obstacle, that you can’t seem to vanquish on your own.
The good news is that Justice also evokes the possibility of rebirth and success, so long as you choose to follow a path true to your inner self. But more on that in a moment…

isha_202109_MIL174_ZP_carte_hermit

  1. The second card I drew for you is the Hermit. The most obvious meaning associated with this card is easy to interpret: loneliness. When faced with the various challenges in your life, you tend to feel lonely and disempowered. You get the impression that other people are living in a different world, one where the rules are easier for them than they are for you.
This can lead to feelings of frustration and a loss of self-love, as you become isolated even from yourself. This is very dangerous, Jeanne, as you can only achieve success when you reconcile with all aspects of your being.
Thankfully, the presence of the Hermit also indicates that if you work on this feeling of loneliness and repair this inner rift of yours, then you will have access to the kind of peace and harmony that brings about true contentment and happiness.

isha_202109_MIL174_ZP_carte_roue_fortune_envers

  1. The final card that came to me is the Wheel of Fortune. It is one of the better-known cards, but also one that carries many meanings. You may notice that in your particular situation, this card appeared upside down.
Under normal circumstances, this would mean that you are about to head into a period of particularly bad luck. In fact, this is probably what will happen if you choose not to do anything to steer your situation down a better path.
If you do choose to act, however, then the Wheel of Fortune indicates that you are entering a time of transition, of change. One that can lead to particularly great things…

Lock in those positive changes now!
Remember, Jeanne. Change is good, particularly in your situation. After all, aren’t you tired of making all those efforts for nothing?
Aren’t you sick of being ignored or passed over or neglected by those who could easily help you get to where you want to be?
Let me tell you a secret: those people aren’t worth your time. They only care about themselves. They might succeed for a while, but karma sees everything and rewards only kind and generous souls like yourself, in the end.
I also want you to know that I will never ignore you. I will never leave you to fend for yourself, especially in this kind of situation where there is so much potential for you to move in the right direction.
And thanks to the nature and the order of the cards I drew, I have a clear idea of how I can help you make the changes you desire.
I need to carry out a special threefold act to address all the needs of your subconscious being, Jeanne. By fulfilling those needs, you will finally be able to thrive in the physical and material world!
This process is called the High Triad for Complete Harmony!
The High Triad is a secret I was entrusted with many years ago, during my travels to India. The wise man I was staying with at the time said he would share it with me on the condition that I would only ever use it to restore balance and prosperity in the lives of people who truly deserved it and who would not be able to succeed by any other means.

Be your own lawyer…investigate all sides of an issue…

major11

“ Accept the diverse nature of truth in conflicts by acting as a lawyer and investigating all sides to an issue. ”

According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, Justice is described as the following:
As this card follows the traditional symbolism and carries above all its obvious meanings, there is little to say regarding it outside the few considerations collected in the first part, to which the reader is referred.
It will be seen, however, that the figure is seated between pillars, like the High Priestess, and on this account it seems desirable to indicate that the moral principle which deals unto every man according to his works–while, of course, it is in strict analogy with higher things;–differs in its essence from the spiritual justice which is involved in the idea of election. The latter belongs to a mysterious order of Providence, in virtue of which it is possible for certain men to conceive the idea of dedication to the highest things. The operation of this is like the breathing of the Spirit where it wills, and we have no canon of criticism or ground of explanation concerning it. It is analogous to the possession of the fairy gifts and the high gifts and the gracious gifts of the poet: we have them or have not, and their presence is as much a mystery as their absence. The law of Justice is not however involved by either alternative. In conclusion, the pillars of Justice open into one world and the pillars of the High Priestess into another.

This card shows us a bold character seated with a pillar on either side. In one hand, the figure holds up a straight sword pointing upward; in the other, they hold scales that hang down. This is the Justice card, and it invites us to think about truth, law, and the dissimilar sides to a single issue.
You don’t have to be a lawyer to consider law and truth in your life, though we may think of a lawyer first when we consider these topics. We might not think that we are qualified to handle questions of justice, or that we have anything valuable to say or do in these realms. Our card today, however, suggests that we should think again.
We likely don’t know the specific laws for where we live like the back of our hand, but just because we don’t have the knowledge that a lawyer possesses about the justice system doesn’t mean that we don’t have our own capacities for working toward justice in our lives.
We can start by considering the nature of truth and developing skills to resolve questions of right and wrong.
Resolve Conflict Like a Lawyer Would
Let’s consider justice in our lives on a smaller scale. Outside of a courtroom, there are places when our honesty and culpability—as well as the honesty and culpability of others—are brought into question.
to do something, and who should take the fall for the misstep now. On a very small scale, this misstep could be as simple as jamming the printer or not taking the garbage out.
But most of us will know that the size of the original task or event that caused a conflict is meaningless. Huge blow-ups can result from the tiniest of infractions. This has much to do with the fact that tensions build up between people over time, and sometimes a small event must take place before they can come to a head.
But what happens when they do reach a breaking point? What happens when people disagree on the truth of the situation in a way that causes suffering on both sides?

This is where conflict resolution comes into play. If you have a conflict, your options are to ignore it, inflame it, or attempt to resolve it. Of course, resolution is the healthiest option, but this doesn’t make it the simplest.
Practice Empathy in the Search for Truth
Today, as even the most minute of conflicts arise in your life, imagine you are a lawyer in a courtroom who has come to resolve an issue peacefully, open-mindedly, and communicatively. Tell the other people involved in any issues as soon as you recognize them to be a problem. Working through things quickly is like treating a wound before it has time to fester.

Acknowledge that the truth is subjective and that you, too, have played a role in this issue. Show that you are listening to the other person when they speak. Put yourselves in their shoes so you can connect with what they are saying. Do all of this with empathy before you even begin to talk about your own opinion.
Remember that you are not fighting to show the other person why your opinion is correct. Instead, you are like the Justice card, fighting to find the justice at the heart of the situation and truly understand where the other person is coming from.

Today your angels are telling you to be strong enough to stand up for yourself in the situation you’re facing. Just like a lawyer in a courtroom, you are being called to take charge with grace, honesty, and positivity.
Your solar-plexus chakra will play a large part in this situation and your angels are telling you to focus on making sure it’s open to receiving guidance. You may not yet feel that you’re ready to take the next step in standing up for yourself but your angels are right beside you, offering quiet assistance as you advocate for yourself in the courtroom of life.
There is great power within you.
Your solar-plexus chakra is the one between your belly button and your diaphragm and is the center of your personal power. This is where your self-esteem lives, along with your will-power, ego, and identity. When this chakra is blocked you may feel powerless, out of control, have low self-esteem, or realize you’re being manipulative.
Your angels are here to help you release the block in this chakra and receive divine guidance. With their help you will regain your control in this situation and banish any fears you have of it.
Your angels also want to remind you that no one has power over you unless you give it to them. Whatever control you feel someone has over you is because you granted it to them at one point or another.
Your angels are telling you right now to sever that cord and take back your power, take back your control, and erase that connection from your life, whether it was something you granted in an instant, or something that had been taken from you a little bit at a time. Ask your angels for guidance in making sure that you retain your power and stop giving it away to the people in your life.
How to be your own lawyer in the courtroom of life.
It may seem daunting, having to represent yourself in your current situation, but your angels are standing by, waiting to guide and assist you through this. Breaking down the situation into its constituent parts will make it easier for you to understand how to represent yourself, though.
Take a moment and really think about your current situation. Who do you feel has the power over you and why? Ask your angels to sever that connection and allow your eyes to open and see the situation clearly. The person or people you feel have that power over you only have it because you have granted it to them. It’s time to take that power back!
Just like a lawyer preparing for a case, you need to understand where the other person in the situation is coming from. Why do they feel like they have power over you? How does this situation affect them? What do they feel they stand to gain or lose if you don’t allow them power over you? A good lawyer can interpret every facet of the situation and always find a logical, positive route to success.
Always remember that your angels are standing by, ready to guide you in reclaiming your control from the people you’ve granted power over you. Make yourself into the best lawyer possible by following their guidance and severing the cords that keep you bound to other people.
Your solar-plexus chakra will become divinely inspired and you will finally be able to maintain your own control and power.

On this card, a man is stealing five of the seven swords. It implies that you must protect yourself against robbery and theft. It doesn’t have to be anything physical; it might be an idea or credit for something you’ve previously accomplished.
You should be cautious, especially if someone is attempting to get information from you. Keep a close eye on the things you value and try to safeguard them as much as possible.
The Seven of Swords is another card that suggests unknown opponents, thievery, or treachery. It also signifies that your dissatisfaction stems from a single source. This is both a good and a bad thing, since you may be able to identify the source and alter your circumstances, but it also means that the source may be aware of you and purposefully undermining your efforts. Approach this issue with care, since the path to your victory lies in deception rather than direct confrontation. Instead of confronting the challenges you face, look for methods to get around them.
Many of us have ran away as children; for some, it’s practically a rite of passage. Those who have previously run away from home may recall how the planning phases went. “Do I have any money?” Is there anything I can eat? What will I do now? “How am I going to sleep?” Most kids would return after a few hours or a night out in a field, but others would stay away forever. When we fled, however, we were giddy with delight at the realisation that we had “gotten away with it” – no one had seen us, and we were now carrying out a plan that our parents had disapproved of. The act of “getting away with it” has a hidden delight, and the Seven of Swords symbolises both the deed and the pleasure.
Visually, this card illustrates a valley surrounded by additional hilly terrain, with an assortment of colourful tents in the backdrop and a group of people gathered around a fire to the side. The tents resemble those used by a touring circus. In the front, we observe a guy with five swords in his hands, gleefully gazing backwards towards the tents. He seems to have gathered whatever he can and is currently fleeing the scene.
This card’s primary topic is that of behaving unfairly. It relates to an activity that you or someone else may have carried out, and they are currently leaving the crime scene. We all do naughty things now and again, and we usually get away with it – this card doesn’t hide that fact, and neither should you. This card urges you to confront whatever wrongdoing you or others around you may have committed, and to consider what you can do right now to level the playing field and make amends.
Make Sure Your Success Doesn’t Cost Others
The idea (and pleasure) of “getting away with it” is a secondary motif of the card. You may experience the satisfaction of a “job well done” as you drive the van away from a large robbery. This sensation does not suggest that you have done something fundamentally wrong; rather, it indicates that you have followed through on a project, even if your success has a cost for others. If this sounds familiar to you, think about what you can do to make things right.
Finally, this card may indicate that you or someone close to you is now craving solitude. The guy in the photograph may just be fleeing the throng for some alone time; who knows, the swords may be all he has, or they may belong to others, but he saw fit to grab them for survival reasons. He’s fleeing for the hills because the folks on the hill are no longer the sort of people he wants to spend his days with. When you’re in a bad position, it’s sometimes essential to behave unfairly in order to get out of it or protect yourself.
When you see the Seven of Swords, ask yourself the following questions. What have you been up to lately that you’ve been attempting to get away with? Do you have someone in your life who have gotten away with? Have you ever attempted a hazardous activity and failed miserably – what lessons did you learn from that? Do you feel as though you’ve just left a bad circumstance or environment? What will you do with what you’ve learned?
What Seven of Swords Means for You Today
The Seven of Swords is a potent reminder of the importance of perception. Drawing this card today may indicate that someone close to you is trying to deceive you or take something from you. This may not be something material or of financial value, but could be as simple as stolen trust. You may have suspected this for a while or only now are beginning to connect the dots. The important message this card holds for you is to remember to use your wits and intelligence to reveal the truth. It may not be as simple as confronting this person, as they may already anticipate this move and be prepared for it. Instead, you must think of a smart way to bring their actions to light.

The beginning of recovery has begun…it pushes you in the right direction

“ You may be in need of proper medical care to heal fully. ”
Today’s Tarot Reading
According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, the Three of Swords is described as the following:
Three swords piercing a heart; cloud and rain behind.
Divinatory Meanings: Removal, absence, delay, division, rupture, dispersion, and all that the design signifies naturally, being too simple and obvious to call for specific enumeration.
Reversed: Mental alienation, error, loss, distraction, disorder, confusion.
The reversed Three of Swords, the tarot card of the day, is a sign that the pain you may have been experiencing is now finally coming to an end. It pushes you in the right direction towards recovery, which may require professional medical care. Now’s the time to start caring for yourself and heal your wounds.
When this card is drawn in reverse, it’s a sign that the beginning of recovery has begun or is about to start. As long as you have the proper medical attention that your wound needs, the healing process will be relieving, and you’ll feel more robust than ever.
Consider professional medical assistance for your pain
You may have been hurt pretty bad recently. It may have caused you chronic pain that felt like it’s never-ending. This is a message to let you know that the pain is ready to end and you’re on the road to recovery.
The wound that this card speaks of is usually a physical injury rather than an emotional one like the upright version of the card. It may have been more significant than the average accident injury and requires more than just a bandage. It needs proper medical care to heal correctly and to make sure the pain completely goes away.
You’re advised to receive proper medical attention for your injury if you haven’t already. It is a card of healing and recovery and wants you to make sure you do so correctly.
For example, if you break a bone in your body, you must see a doctor as soon as possible. Why? Because when one of your bones breaks, it can break up into tiny fragments, like shattered glass.
Those tiny shards of bones can then puncture and further injure whatever’s around it (e.g., muscles, veins, arteries, or other organs). When that occurs, the pain of your wound can become much more extreme and longer-lasting, possibly even fatal.
Another reason you need medical care when breaking a bone is that it can heal in a way that causes issues with your body’s regular functions. You may no longer be able to easily use the affected body part like you used to be able to. It can also lead to chronic pain conditions such as arthritis.
So, it’s best to tough out that long emergency waiting room visit because it’ll be much more worth it in the end.
Begin the healing process that you deserve
You will soon be on your way to recovery. Take precaution and get checked by a medical professional. Follow the necessary steps to reduce the amount of damage caused by your injury. Soon, you’ll forget that it even happened.
Injuring yourself is never a welcomed occurrence, but it’s a part of life that everyone experiences every once in a while. However, you can make sure to take some steps so you won’t be caught off guard should it happen again.
Here are some ways you can be prepared for future injuries, and what you need to do for current ones:

  • Have a first aid kit available for when you need it.
  • Take some basic first aid classes.
  • Educate yourself on safety hazards to watch out for.
  • Always use proper protection with power tools and machinery.
  • Invest on medical insurance to cover potential emergencies.
  • Be sure to get everything checked out by a medical professional.
  • The sooner you receive medical attention, the better.
  • Be sure to follow your doctor’s orders to heal correctly.
  • Don’t let your wounds “heal on their own.”

Unity through health organization brings healing to both sides…

Today’s Tarot Reading
Your Star Sign: Aquarius
Today’s Date: 19 Sep 2021
From the World Health Organization to helping your own family members with their needs, reaching unity through health care creates healing on both sides.  ”
According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, The World is described as the following:
As this final message of the Major Trumps is unchanged–and indeed unchangeable–in respect of its design, it has been partly described already regarding its deeper sense. It represents also the perfection and end of the Cosmos, the secret which is within it, the rapture of the universe when it understands itself in God. It is further the state of the soul in the consciousness of Divine Vision, reflected from the self-knowing spirit. But these meanings are without prejudice to that which I have said concerning it on the material side.
It has more than one message on the macrocosmic side and is, for example, the state of the restored world when the law of manifestation shall have been carried to the highest degree of natural perfection. But it is perhaps more especially a story of the past, referring to that day when all was declared to be good, when the morning stars sang together and all the Sons of God shouted for joy. One of the worst explanations concerning it is that the figure symbolizes the Magus when he has reached the highest degree of initiation; another account says that it represents the absolute, which is ridiculous. The figure has been said to stand for Truth, which is, however, more properly allocated to the seventeenth card. Lastly, it has been called the Crown of the Magi.

The World is a card of togetherness and joy. The female figure appears as the picture of beauty and health. The card as a whole reminds us of unity as we notice the green encircling wreath. As well, the four corners of the card display faces that represent the corners of life on earth.
If we meditate on the concept of a time “when the morning stars sang together and all… shouted for joy”, it becomes even clearer that this card suggests togetherness. If the morning stars are singing together and everyone is shouting for joy, then surely this is a time of unity.
Seeing the apparent well-being of the female figure and the unity of the world around her, we are invited to reflect upon a question: How can we take steps today to bring unity and health throughout the personal and global spheres?
From the World Health Organization to Your Family Home
When we think of unity on a global scale, we see agencies like the World Health Organization working to provide health care to billions of people across the globe. You could join the World Health Organization to be a part of this great change that they are making, but you can take smaller steps to promote healing unity, too.
Imagine health care on a community level. In your community, there are likely institutions like hospitals and care homes. These places may be searching for volunteers to help those in need. You do not need to have a medical degree to make a difference; as an official volunteer, you could arrive at a patient’s room with a smile on your face and change the course of their day.
You can also promote healing unity on an even smaller scale. You may have a neighbor down the street or in your apartment building who would be grateful to have someone help them by bringing groceries once and a while or by walking their dog when they are struggling.
Perhaps there are people in your family or friendship groups who could use an extra hand when it comes to their health care. They might need a ride to the doctor or someone to sit with in the office. Avoid forcing help where it isn’t wanted; make it clear that you are available to help on the other person’s terms.
To take steps to promote healing unity today, begin to brainstorm places where you can offer your services. If your schedule and situation allow, consider volunteer positions where you could make a difference.

Otherwise, think about who in your life might be appreciative of some help, and let them know kindly and respectfully that you would be happy to help them out. If appropriate, offer help directly. For instance, if you know someone is going to the doctor, offer to take them.
The Types of Healing Unity Brings
Helping someone else with their physical health may not heal you in any physical way, but it may actually have positive effects on your mental and emotional health. When we aid others through selfless service, creating unity like on the World card, we grow as individuals and receive the benefits from our actions in an indirect way.
Creating this type of healing unity leads to brain changes that create feelings of happiness. We feel better about ourselves because we could be of service, and this invigorates us and enables us to continue to give our time, energy, and kindness.
