guardianangel

“You are surrounded by pure and angelic love. Your guardian angels want you to know they love you unconditionally.”
Your Angel’s Message:
You have asked for a sign. This card is direct validation that you are surrounded by angelic and all-encompassing love now and always. You are never alone. You’ve asked for help. You have it coming to you in abundance. Your angels are helping you to grow spiritually.

Life has been getting you down. You’ve been unsure of what to do next. You are safe in the love of your angels. They’re guiding you towards still waters. You may feel undeserving but nothing is further from the truth. Know that your angels love you unconditionally, no matter what you have done, thought or said in your life. They will never abandon or judge you. We all make mistakes. Release yours safe in the knowledge that your angels are holding you close throughout each and every day of your life.
What You Should Do:
Take time to talk with your guardian angel. You can say the words out loud or into yourself. It doesn’t matter as they will always hear you. Write a journal if you prefer. Tell the angels your troubles, your hopes and dreams. Release these into the Universe. You are powerful. What you focus on, you create. Think only of the positives. Make these your reality.
Your Affirmation:
“My guardian angel loves me unconditionally. I am never alone. I am surrounded by pure and loving light at all times.”

It’s the birthday of detective novelist Dashiell Hammett (books by this author), born in St. Mary’s County, Maryland (1894). He dropped out of high school to help support his family and worked a series of jobs until he became a private detective for the Pinkerton Detective Agency. The job caught his imagination, and he said that his favorite assignment was searching for a stolen Ferris wheel.
Hammett published his stories in pulp magazines like Black Mask, and he was one of the first mystery writers to write about tough, cynical, street-smart detectives, rather than refined, intellectual investigators like Sherlock Holmes.
His style of writing was called “hard-boiled” and it contained almost no extraneous detail. In one story he described a woman by writing, “Her eyes were blue, her mouth red, her teeth white, and she had a nose. Without getting steamed up over the details, she was nice.”
Critics consider The Maltese Falcon (1930) Hammett’s masterpiece. The novel introduced the character Sam Spade, one of the most famous fictional detectives of all time. Hammett called Sam Spade, “A dream man … a hard and shifty fellow, able to take care of himself in any situation, able to get the best of anybody he comes in contact with, whether criminal, innocent bystander, or client.”

innate healing energy…

energy-healing

“You have an innate healing energy. You can apply this to situations and to people around you now.”
Your Angel’s Message:
A situation around you needs healed. Child of God, you have wonderful healing abilities deep within yourself. You can direct these with your heart and via your thoughts. Perhaps it’s not a person or situation that needs healed. Your energies can also be directed to a location or an object. This card also indicates that if you feel that energies in your home or office are a little disturbed and negative at the moment, you can change these with your healing, loving thoughts and actions.

This card sometimes indicates that you are to embark on a course involving energy healing. It carries the message that you can heal others and yourself on an emotional and spiritual level. You have that incredible power within you. Believe in it. Believe in yourself. Have faith.
What You Should Do:
It’s time now to heal yourself. The pain of the past is just that, of the past. As well as sending out your healing love to others, there is much more you can do. This is also a good time to book an energy healing session if you feel it would benefit you. Clear a space in your home. Make this comfortable and beautiful. Decorate this in muted colours and make it your spiritual space. Use this space to work on your healing abilities and on your ability to be still and calm. Now is also the time to sign up for courses if you’re interested in working in a healing capacity. You have all the tools you need within you!
Your Affirmation:
“I have a healing light within me. Angelic energies are working through my body to heal myself and to help others.”

tranquility and release…

“You are moving towards a wonderful time of inner tranquility and divine peace.”
serenity

Your Angel’s Message:
You have been hoping for peace of mind for a long time. The angels have heard your plea. They are bringing you security and joy. You may think to yourself that there is no way you can find peace in your life right now. Nothing could be further from the truth. The angels need  you to trust that a miraculous solution is coming your way. Faith opens the door to wondrous happenings!

By drawing this card, the angels need you to know that you have peace of mind within you. It’s possible to feel that serenity even when you’re in great turmoil. You may think that to experience serenity you need to wait until all problems and issues are gone from your life. This is not true. You need to firstly be at peace within yourself for your life challenges to lessen.
What You Should Do:
To live a serene life, you need to be still and calm and let the divine force work through you. Ask the angels to help you with this. Give up your problems and issues to them. Be safe in their never-ending love.
Your Affirmation:
“Serenity is my natural state of mind. The angels are working with me to allow this to be so.”

skinny dipping…

abundance

Skinny-Dipping in Vathy
by Barbara Quick

Above the azure inlet of the sea,
the path was steep, carved out between
the thistles, thorns and wind-blown rock.

He left her at the top to find a sheltered place
they wouldn’t be seen descending to the shore.
She waited, fully clothed there,
till, looking down, she saw his gleaming skin
and upturned face above the churning deep,
as if he’d changed from man to seal
and loved this transformation.

She shed her clothes and picked her way
as far down as she could on tender feet—
then took a leap of faith, exchanging rock
for empty air, a rush of cold and bubbles
in her hair. Her toes touched seaweed
as she swam toward her selkie mate.

Two naked, slippery people,
seventy and sixty-five,
feeling so alive and filled with joy,
treading water side by side in the extra-salty,
turquoise blue Aegean Sea, rich in iodine,
with the power to heal
all kinds of wounds.

They tasted salt and kissed,
two shipwrecked sailors
who’d managed to survive.

It’s the birthday of the man who said, “Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air.” That’s Ralph Waldo Emerson (books by this author), born in Boston (1803). His father, who died when Ralph was eight, was a Unitarian minister, as were many of Emerson’s family members before him. He was a quiet and well-behaved young man, not an exceptional student. He graduated in the middle of his class, studied at Harvard Divinity School, and got a job as a ministerial assistant at Boston’s Second Church. Not long after his ordination, he was married. He was happy at home and in his work and soon he was promoted to senior pastor.
Two years after Emerson was married, his wife, Ellen, died of tuberculosis at the age of 19. He was devastated. He began to have doubts about the Church. A year after Ellen’s death, he wrote in his journal, “I have sometimes thought that, in order to be a good minister, it was necessary to leave the ministry. The profession is antiquated. In an altered age, we worship in the dead forms of our forefathers.” He took a leave of absence and went on vacation in the mountains of New Hampshire. By the time he returned he had decided to resign from his position as minister.
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

I am mine…I am free….

detachment

Dear Jeanne,

Tomorrow, your Guardian Angel Haniel wants you to know…

“You’re dependent on something or someone else for your happiness. Now is the time to cut the cord and to stand confidently on your own.”

Your Angel’s Message:

Your feelings of power, of happiness or your sense of security currently depends on the actions of another person or on something else within your life. You are unable to be yourself until you release the ties that bind you. When your sense of self is based on something or someone else, it takes away from the person you are. You are your own beautiful self. Your self-worth should never be dependant on anyone else.

Perhaps you are tied to your past. You may not feel you can move on from a certain person, event or relationship. To feel emotionally free, it’s crucial that you release all negative attachments. Even those unhappy and guilt emotions and feelings you may harbour about yourself. It’s time to reclaim your own personal power!

What You Should Do:

Take some quiet time to yourself. Relax and breathe deeply. Ask the angels to support you to sever the ties that connect you to all things and people who are negative. You can no longer be emotionally manipulated. You are no longer an emotional prisoner. You are free! Use this freedom to enhance your higher self. Remember to never accept any less than you’re worth.

Your Affirmation:

“I cut all ties that bind me to negative, thoughts, feelings and people. I am mine. I am free!”

STAY
by Kim Addonizio

So your device has a low battery & seems to drain faster each day.
Maybe you should double your medication.
You might feel queasy, but also as if the spatula flattening you to the fry pan
has lifted a little.
So your breath comes out scorched, so what.
Inside, trust me on this,
there’s a ribbon of beach by a lake,
in the sand, fragments of a fossilized creature resembling a tulip.
Back in the Paleozoic, online wasn’t invented yet
so everyone had to wander alone & miserable through the volcanic wastes
or just glue themselves to a rock hoping someone would pass by.
Now you can sob to an image of your friend a continent away
& be consoled.
Please wait for the transmissions, however faint.
Listen: when a stranger steps into the elevator with a bouquet of white
roses not meant for you,
they’re meant for you..

Sonnet 91
Sonnet 91,by William Shakespeare

Some glory in their birth, some in their skill,
Some in their wealth, some in their body’s force;
Some in their garments, though new-fangled ill;
Some in their hawks and hounds, some in their horse;
And every humour hath his adjunct pleasure,
Wherein it finds a joy above the rest:
But these particulars are not my measure;
All these I better in one general best.
Thy love is better than high birth to me,
Richer than wealth, prouder than garments’ cost,
Of more delight than hawks or horses be;
And having thee, of all men’s pride I boast:
Wretched in this alone, that thou mayst take
All this away, and me most wretched make.

you’re being guided to learn…

study

“Now is the right time to study and learn. Whether this involves classroom studies or learning and growing as a person, you’re being guided to grow, listen and read.”
Your Angel’s Message:
The emergence of this card validates that now is the right time for you to get involved with new activities. Enrich your life and your soul by learning new skills or embracing different ideas. Perhaps it’s been a while since you’ve learned something new.

If you’re feeling a little apprehensive then the emergence of this card is a wonderful omen. You have Divine support around you right now and through on into the future. Go for it! You will succeed.
What You Should Do:
You may be feeling guided to try something new, to enhance your skills for work or to join or continue in a class that’s of interest to you. (May I suggest learning to read Angel Cards as my Angel Visionary Apprentice?) No matter what the field of learning is, the angels urge you to keep on walking that path. Become the best you you can be and soak up this wonderful and progressive energy like a sponge. This card can also indicate that now is the time to apply something you have learned to your life. The message within is that you shouldn’t run before you can walk. Relax and enjoy the whole learning process. Stay focused on the here and now.
Your Affirmation:
“I’ve been thinking about learning something new. Now is the right time for this. I know that my angels are guiding me and supporting my spiritual and mental growth in every way.”

Wind Watching
 by Khalisa Rae
What if Dorothy wasn’t afraid of the wind?

What if she welcomed the cyclone?
The thought of being lifted, suspended

in air as release. What if she saw
it as escape, being tossed and jolted?

Maybe
a change would occur if she shook fast
enough. Maybe she liked not knowing

if her body would survive the catch and release.
Maybe being picked up

and let
go in another’s chaos was freeing.
I imagine she was raptured before the light of the day

had kissed the earth.

The swirl approached and she went willingly.

Threw her head and arms back,
and let it consume her.
Maybe she had been waiting to be swept off her feet

by a wild, uncontrollable thing.
