I like the provocative use of “either” for opposite extremes (two terms), and then the use of “or” for the preferred middle way. Usually “either / or” are used for just two terms, but the usage in this poem is wiser.

I showed the Poetry Group at the Roe Jan Library your comments. They understood how delighted I was to have an immediate feed back for my postings
from such a distinguished colleague and fellow poet.
Thank you Tee!

Communication also has affiliation and rejection or hostility.
The difficulty with communication is that it is receiver defined–so the message you intend to send is often not the message that is received.
I’ve written a whole Ph.D. thesis on dominance and hostility in patient physician communication.
I like what you have done with the topic.
Do you think it is usually the folks that are the worst at it that are the most interested in communication?

I can’t tell who is the worst.
But I had to bring an 84 year old friend to the ER last week. He was never in a hospital and never took a med. What a chasm we had to cross. No inkling of health care! No vocabulary! No experience outside of extreme self-reliance!
No voice mail. No medical tests! ……….
