Was it green faced witch-y teeth?
Or brazen vampire breath?
Skeleton’s bony jaws’ gummed points?
Or ghouls’ last biting death?
Was it spider’s webby silk?
Or bats’ wings seared to coal?
Was it dagger’s dripping blood
That carved those bite marks whole?
Pumpkin knows who bit him quick
Pierced his orange shell;
Sitting there like orange moon
He’s likely NOT to tell!

That is wickedly delicious, Jeanne. And I’m thrilled to be inspiration. As I was reading the questions I thought of Peary in the road.

Squirrels, totally. Zombie squirrels, though.
