A-fib grabs me by the chest
IV’s flooded in;
ER noises clang and pulse
Squealing through my head!

IV’s flooded in;
Monitors and EKG’s
Oxygen for me.

Graph my wheezing breath
Isn’t flu, but asthma too!

Squealing through my head
X-rays blink; nurses link
me to an overnight!

Don is the one who had A-fib and asthma. I made it present tense and first person to engage the audience. We are recovering.
