framed

I was framed
by my eyelids
who clicked the shutter when
I saw the beauty of my grand-kids

the muscles of my daughter-in-law

the Samson-like hair of my son

the generosity of my daughter

the sweetness of my son-in-law

the texture of the flowers

and

then posted them on my blog without permission.

Trust me,
I was framed
with framing
those morsels with my eyes
and feeding them to my hungry blog.

I beg forgiveness.

reworking of the temple theme by Neil Waldman

I met the caretakers of the

R Michelson Gallery in Northampton

on August 27, 2018

and purchased one book

one watercolor painting

one giclee (A digital printing process in which an ink-jet printer is used to produce a high-quality art print)

and had a fulfilling tour of the museum

and its storeroom of children’s books and illustrators.

I learned some Hebrew.

And frolicked in Northampton.

What remains is to set up my personal

Neil Waldman Gallery

in my studio with chair for visitors to read the book by Michelson and Waldman

There is always confusion in Democracy…

democracy is love shared-given and reciprocated

Reblogged from today’s Poetry Almanac:
The first of two powerful solar storms hit the Earth on this date in 1859. It became known as the “Carrington Event,” after amateur astronomer Richard Carrington, who witnessed the solar flares through his telescope outside London. When the geomagnetic disturbance reached Earth, telegraph wires began shorting out, shooting streams of fire and igniting telegraph paper in North America and Europe. Compasses were useless because the Earth’s magnetic field had gone haywire. The northern lights were seen as far south as Cuba and Jamaica, and the southern lights — aurora australis — were seen in Santiago, Chile. In some places, the aurora was so bright that birds began chirping in the middle of the night because they thought the sun was rising. The Carrington Event was by far the strongest geomagnetic storm ever recorded:…
